Dee Allum: Raumdeuter

Dee Allum (The Stand-up Sketch Show, The News Quiz, One Person Found This Helpful) brings her sophomore show to the Pleasance Courtyard following on from her award-nominated debut.

In a World Cup year, when England have again failed to bring it home/end sixty years of hurt (delete as appropriate), the question of whether sport can truly be for everyone is as pertinent now as ever. It’s also been a tough year for Dee, much like/unlike the England team, as she’s entered a long-distance relationship, got a real job, and started the process towards getting life-changing surgery.

The show explores what it’s like not being quite fully something. Both in a relationship and not, a professional comedian and not, Dee is transitioning in every aspect of her life. Will this ever end? Can any of us ever truly finish becoming the person we want to be? Is it ever really coming home?

‘Refreshingly candid, sincere and full of innovative humour…naturally, undeniably, laugh-out-loud funny…a truly genius and important show.’ ★★★★★ – Ed Fringe Review
