Ollie Horn
Two wildly inventive shows
Indulgently silly, wildly inventive comedy. After completing three law degrees in three languages, Ollie Horn turned his clever-clogs brain to stand-up over a decade ago, and has since curated a cult following of devotees of his joyous, imaginative, and entirely unique solo shows.
After cutting his teeth on the club circuit, earning a reputation both as a dependable and electric closing act and world-class MC, Ollie has gone on to perform in over 25 countries, supported the likes of Jason Manford on tour, and played across Australia as part of the “Best of the Edinburgh Fest” cast, and featured at their major clubs.
This year he’s bringing two brilliant shows to the Fringe:
‘The Most Toast’
15:00 | 8th | Just The Big Room at The Caves
What is this?
In any given room somebody has had the most toast. Ollie Horn will find them.
What actually happens?
Ollie finds out who has had the most toast.
What like ever?
It is whoever has had the most toast.
Do crumpets count?
It is whoever has had the most toast.
So in a lifetime?
It is whoever has had the most toast.
“The Most Toast is what happens when a brilliantly simple hook, a quick-witted pair of hosts, and an enthusiastic audience come together” – No Proscenium
‘Let’s Listen to Some of Lou Bega’s Other Songs Together for an Hour’
22:30 | 12th, 19th & 26th | Just The Big Room at The Caves
Critically-acclaimed comedian Ollie Horn finally presents the most important show at the Edinburgh Fringe. After bringing multiple stand-up hours to the Edinburgh Fringe, being recognised by the British Comedy Guide as a best-reviewed shows, and packing out houses nationally and internationally: at last a show that matters: presenting critical analysis of some of Lou Bega’s other songs.
For too long Mambo Number 5 has reigned supreme as the go-to Bega banger. But what about Sweet Like Cola? Why did Scatman agree (posthumously) to collaborate with Mr Bega on a song where “Scatman” rhymes with “Hatman”? Erica might be by Lou’s side, but why might Rita be his favourite señorita?
Key words: Stand up | Improv | Audience Participation | 90’s Nostalgia
